How can you include the teaching of architecture in the curriculum? The goal of this webinar is to explore multiple facets of architecture in and outside the classroom with an emphasis on the German Bauhaus and its influence on American skylines. Many ideas and materials are presented, including activities, useful vocabulary, connections to German heritage, onsite as well as online materials on architectural history, resources, games, and student projects.

Ingrid Zeller is an associate professor of instruction in the Department of German at Northwestern University. Her teaching and research areas include architecture, film, and music in the context of language acquisition, and she frequently presents and also publishes on these topics. She is currently the program chair for the NI Chapter of the AATG, a member of the Trainernetzwerk, and serves as an AP reader and a certified docent for the Chicago Architecture Foundation.
