As one of the three modes of communication, Interpersonal communication provides opportunities for learners to negotiate and experiment with language in a meaningful setting. What does that look like in your classroom? How do you best assess students as they put their language to work? With a majority of all communication occurring in this mode, how can you best equip your students to communicate with other German speakers?
Presenter: Brandee Mau is a German teacher and WL Curriculum Facilitator for Campbell County School District in Gillette, WY. She’s been teaching 14 years in one of the last German programs in the least populated state in the US. She has conducted many local, regional and national professional development workshops, and is a member of the AP German Language and Culture development committee. She focuses on improving instruction, understanding student performance, and enabling students to reach their goals.
