A collection of German, Austrian and Swiss songs for young people of all ages. This 3rd edition (2006) of the popular volume from Concordia Language Villages was compiled and edited by Dan Hamilton, Dean, Waldsee German Village. The spiral-bound collection contains traditional songs still sung in German-speaking countries as well as modern Lieder popular among young people in those countries. Close to 300 songs with musical notation and a short cultural description of the origin of each are contained in the 339-page volume, richly illustrated with photos and drawings in color. Also included are Tips for Teachers. The collection is an example of Waldsee’s philosophy of total immersion and experience-based learning. A must for today’s interactive classroom!
